Duties
To review and analyze the company's product pricing compared to published or disclosed prices of competitors in the market place. To develop pricing options to meet competitive opportunities and provide input for profitability projections and corporate pricing strategy. Make recommendations that will facilitate optimal pricing decisions to be made by Marketing and Sales teams. – Download and organize baseline price information, analyze and report on inconsistencies, and identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through price strategies. – Develop customer contract pricing, Sales district pricing, list pricing, and define customer pricing parameters (to include pricing for warranty denials and contract / pricing expiration dates). – Coordinate product sales (pricing) information with Sales, Operations and Finance to identify volume and pricing for potential bid strategies. – Develop pricing spreadsheets in support of contract review documents; validate sales quotations for accuracy and profitability. – Conduct analysis on the pricing models to provide input and reporting on customer retention, acquisition, penetration of product usage, profitability etc. – Report on monthly price realization / (erosion) versus budget commitment on specific products, quotes, market segments and/or customers; Assist sales and product management teams in constructing and implementing solutions. – Prepare multi-year cost/pricing models to include labor, materials, overheads, and associated pricing volumes. – Assist in the preparation of monthly sales forecast by product line and / or customer. – Maintenance of SAP pricing master data. Manage price change execution related orders and quotes, including data integrity and consistency. – Establish a system of documentation, communication and review of internal and external comparative price data. – Conduct continuous pricing process improvement.
Required Skills
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field • 3 years experience performing strategic financial analyses in the sales or marketing environment • Sound understanding of sales, finance, and marketing operations processes • Expert Excel skills • Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail
