TMB-60^® is a rugged, cost-effective truck mounted brake that delivers optimum braking performance while minimizing weight.

Simple design minimizes maintenance

The system consists of the fewest parts, fits any standard AAR-approved truck and can use 1-1/2 or 2-inch brake shoes. Simplified installation and the most uniform shoe wear in the industry helps TMB-60 extend the mean time between car maintenance intervals.

TMB-60 can be installed in any configuration with complete flexibility in cylinder positioning and without changing any parts. Brake heads can be replaced without truck disassembly. The hand brake connects using a mechanical chain or a cable.

Field proven highly reliable

TMB-60 eliminates through-bolster rods, tapered shoe wear and the risk of equipment damage due to rail car jacking procedures or ice buildup.

TMB-60’s self-adjusting slack adjuster maintains uniform braking performance even as wheels and shoes wear, allowing railroads to run heavier loads for increased gross rail cars.
