EL-60^®

The advantages of the AAR approved EL-60^® is a smaller envelope and smaller equalizing volume than conventional SC-1 equipment. In addition, the EL-60^®

• Is available in 40%, 50%, and 60% proportioning models
• Has two pipe connections at the rear and one on the side (volume) of the pipe bracket
• Incorporates both sensing and proportioning in one axially operated portion
• Shows empty / load brake condition with a visual indicator
• Automatically replenishes loading brake cylinder in empty model
• Automatically increases brake cylinder pressure during grade loading
• Is lightweight, with a minimum of parts
• Will not be affected in the empty position (20% load) with rock and roll of +/- 1-3/4 inches
• Will not be affected in the loaded position with rock and roll of +/- 1-3/4 inches
• Includes a brake pressure measurement tap

EL-60SS

The EL-60SS (Slope Sheet) valve provides empty / load control for bulk-commodity hopper car applications using proven EL-60^® upstream proportioning technology.

• 40% and 50% proportioning models
• Sensing and proportioning in one assembly
• No set up or adjustment required
• Visual system indicator shows empty / loaded condition
• Works with system pressure up to 110 psig
• Includes FDA-approved application capabilities

SC-1 System

NYAB’s SC-1 system uses industry-leading downstream proportioning technology with separate sensing (S-1 sensor valve, at left) and proportioning (P-1 proportional valve, above right) modules that offer flexibility when the control valve is mounted in the center of the car.

• Both SC-1 modules are lightweight, with a minimum of parts.
• SC-1 is available in 50% and 60% proportioning levels.
• Both units are AAR-approved.
