Required annual service for the LD-1000^® air dryer can be completed on the locomotive in less than 15 minutes without disturbing electronics or pneumatics. The unit is designed for accessible under floor installation, rated to IP69K.

Superior air dryer pre-filtration allows for a 10-year overhaul interval, including desiccant, even when used with an oil-lubricated compressor. Efficient variable purge control minimizes air flow losses from the system, saving energy. All valves and electronics are in a unitized, field replaceable LRU (Line Replaceable Unit), making field repair quick and easy – if it is ever needed.
