Advanced Self-Diagnostics
CCBIIe features advanced self-diagnostics, reporting LRU health to the maintainer and recommending troubleshooting steps so the LRU is not replaced when it may be another issue on the locomotive. Additionally, pressures and signals are available to assist in troubleshooting interfaces.

Electronic Brake Valve (EBVe)
Our enhanced Electronic Brake Valve (EBV), available in desktop and bulkhead configurations, has fewer parts, non-contacting handle sensors and an IP55 rating that delivers improved reliability as well as a 20-year service life. The unit also includes an integrated locking device and an ER reduction button with auto bail, allowing the operator to reduce brake pipe pressure 1 psi at a time.

The Electro-Pneumatic Control Unit (EPCU)
Features enhanced Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) that are now easier to replace and program themselves by auto-loading and configuring software. There’s no need to connect a laptop and load software - just install and they are ready to go.

Improved Valves, Rubber and Grease
The LRU’s use high-performance grease, specially formulated to maintain viscosity within tolerance for over ten years in all conditions. It provides consistent lubrication and enhanced performance capabilities, such as anti-oxidation and rust inhibition.
All valve diaphragms and O-rings use superior rubber that tolerate temperature extremes of minus -60º to 175ºF, while maintaining proper adhesion, flexibility and resilience.
